Dangerous legislation moving through Congress would give the government broad new powers to crack down on websites accused of trafficking in stolen content ― without even giving them their day in court. This could have serious consequences for cloud computing, Internet security and American jobs. More than 100 legal experts, in a letter to Congress, called the PROTECT IP Act “the equivalent of an Internet death penalty.” Stop the Internet killers ― 968 and H.R. 3261 ― and preserve a free global Internet.
